The 'Michael Clayton' actor - who drives a electric one-seater Tango car - says the vehicle is not only embarrassing in terms of its appearance, it also means he can't drive any of his friends anywhere.
He said: "It can be embarrassing. There's nowhere to hide, because it's just me behind the wheel and there isn't enough space for anyone else.
"But it goes from zero to 60mph in four seconds, which is faster than virtually any other car on the road, so I can take off with a burst of speed if I get too many insults."
George also revealed he is upgrading the Tango for a Tesla Roadster, which should be arriving later this year.
He added: "Teslas are like Ferraris - it's going to make less of a dent on my pride than the Tango! And I can take passengers which means I can make friends again!" |
